Not so long ago I had to do a late night at New Look, we had to put the Christmas decorations up and I was beyond excited, to increase my Christmas mood even more, I took a stroll to Selfridges to view their world famous Christmas window's. They are amazing! from the frosted windows to the mice placed in such a specific way you feel you have entered wonderland just by looking inside. Try using the interactive window stickers where you can control the Christmas music box inside. It's magical!
This post I'm going to take you on a trip down Oxford Street and show you the magically windows from other High Street stores. Although Selfridges will not be appearing in this post. They are too magical you need to see them yourself.
New Look Christmas window! |
I can't take the credit for this one, unfortunately I was ill when it was created however the floor is uber glittery and the chandelier catches the light to bring in the party feel. Come in take a look at what beautiful pieces you can pick up perfect for that party season. Don't forget to look at the Visual merchandising, you might be impressed.

This theatrical window scheme is another that makes you think you have walked into a Christmas dream. In store the mannequins are wearing spike and studded masks, a tree which takes over the store with it's long white vines. The window mannequins seem like they are getting ready to perform at a ballet or Christmas performance. This window is definitely not a pantomime performance.

The Versace collaboration was crazy there were people everywhere and plastic credit cards were flying from every luxury purse going! The window's are spectacular. My only negative is that they only wear one eyelash? I can't explain to you why because I myself do not have the answer. Personally I think they look unfinished.
House Of Fraser. |
I had the opportunity to do some work experience in House Of Fraser and their Visual team were not happy with the positioning of their window's and I must agree! I always seem to walk past the actually creative section and simply see advertisement for make up and then I found this little Christmas beauty tucked in the corner. Although I think the positioning works really well! You see the lights perfectly and it is in a large space so you really feel the Christmas spirit!

Hope I have spread the Christmas feel! I know it's early but the High Street window's are too good for others to miss out. LONG LIVE THE BRITISH HIGH STREET!
